About Us
Reel Addiction was specifically designed and built as a charter boat and launched early in 2001. We are pleased to bring Reel Addiction Back to the Chartering business so others can enjoy the wonderful fishing opportunities which are offered to us on the East Coast.
Reel Addiction is a 11.5 metre White Pointer powered by a 485 horsepower Scania. It is fully game rigged with a comfortable cruise speed of 17 knots. She is equipped with Simrad electronics and also has hydraulic pot hauler facility and is berthed in the Gisborne Marina.
We have Coastal survey which covers an area from Cape Karikari to Cape Kidnappers; this includes fishing in the renowned fishing waters of the Ranfurly Bank.
We offer a wide range of packages from 2 hours to several days, from bottom fishing for Snapper, Tarakihi, Kahawai, etc to Game Fishing for Marlin, Tuna, Kingfish and diving or sightseeing, if it's out in the boat and you want to do it, it can probably be done!
Reel Addiction will cater for up to 10 anglers on a day trip. The boat currently sleeps 5 for overnight charters. There is complete onboard facilities' including toilet, hot fresh water shower. Cooking facilities and hot coffee or tea. Fridge and freezer.
About The Owner
Aaron together with his wife Suzanne knew with the fantastic fishing off the East Coast, that they couldn't miss the opportunity to purchase Reel Addiction and bring this fantastic and well known boat back into survey for charter fishing off the East Coast.
Aaron is a volunteer with the Gisborne/East Coast Coastguard. In his spare time Aaron enjoys fishing, hunting, a crew member for “Wicked A” Group A Jet sprint Boat and spending time with his family.
